Where I’m Working
I have such a hard time being productive at my office. I’ve taken to arriving early and staying after class at UIC to work in longhand at the University Hall lounge. The only drawback is that UIC is a Pepsi-only school. Fortunately, there’s a 7-11 nearby.
It’s a coffee shop! It’s a bank branch!
Is there anything stranger than the ING Direct Cafe?
Every city in the world has a McDonald’s, a Chinese restaurant, an Indian restaurant, and an Irish pub.
And, after a wonderful lunch at Cacaja, high atop a shopping mall in Chengdu, I can verify that my theory about cities continues to prove true. The only exception that I know of is Reykjavik, where McDonald’s left after the currency collapse.
