Day trading is popular right now, and a lot of day traders come to my site and are disappointed to see recipes for pumpkin stuffed shells and reviews of books about different countries. Both are related to what I do. Healthy, festive vegan entrees save money! Learning about other countries and cultures can help you be a better investor!
But today, I have something for day traders. I recently discovered the web site TradingSchools.org, which reviews d litraining programs, indicator services, and live trading rooms along with other miscellaneous scams and bad behavior. The range is impressive.
The sad reality is that most traders lose money, and so there is often more money in teaching people how to trade than in trading itself. I might be in that camp, but Day Trading For Dummies is $14.95 on Amazon, and you get 5% back if you buy it through your Amazon card. That’s a far cry from the $5000 cost of some services.
And you know what? A $5000 fee would be worth it if the services delivered. Institutional firms and hedge funds routinely pay that much or more for research services. Some high-priced services are worth every penny, and cost is not the indicator of value in anything.
I also like that the TradingSchools.org proprietors are unafraid to call out scams. Unfortunately, scams are legion in the financial industry. So do your research. Please.
